Six awesome salads - a summer party essential

One of the greatest challenges for most party-throwers is preparing a good meal. Here at The Kit Source, we think that you CAN win friends with salad this summer, so here's a few of our favourites for casual summer entertaining:

Brown Rice and Roast Pumpkin Salad
Khai's mum keeps giving us pumpkins at the moment, so we're a little obsessed with roast pumpkin! The mix of salty and sweet from the soy and maple - YUM.

Vietnamese Green Papaya Salad with Shrimp
I could seriously eat prawns every single day, so this fresh, tangy and super healthy salad is one of my absolute summer favourites!

Quinoa Salad with Asparagus and Feta
I'm really on the 'superfood' wagon (though I know I should be), but I DO adore quinoa for it's wholesome, nutty flavour. Add feta and I'm sold.

Shaved Zucchini Salad with Macadamia Nuts
Mmmm... Zucchini. Five years ago, I would never have said that, but now zucchini is one of my favourites. Pair it with a few other ingredients (substitute sorrel for spinach if you can't find it)... and yum.

Winter Apple Slaw
Yes, yes, it says winter in the title, but honestly, this slaw would be amazing with a burger fresh off the barbie!

Classic Potato Salad
After a party, you'll often find me snacking on leftover potato salad at all hours, yes, even at breakfast time. There's something about the creamy, bacon and potato combo - drool...
