Week in Review: Peanut Butter Jelly Time

Khai has a habit of singing the most random songs at the most random times - this week, 'Peanut Butter Jelly Time' was oddly fitting; its a ridiculous song, but it certainly gets you hyped for attacking your to do list.

So, with that as this week's theme song, we've been busy little peanuts: unpacking, building, meeting, shopping and dog walking. Here's what we got up to:

Our productivity has doubled this week. Why? We finally have a second laptop. We've also signed up for Asana, a cloud based project management tool (if your day is ruled by email, Asana might be for you). Plus, we're trying to be as paperless as possible, so we're trying to take advantage of some cost/time/eco friendly online tools. All of this technological stuff has lead to record amounts of stock being ordered, delivered and subsequently unpacked. Where will we store all this inventory? Well, purchase and build a storage unit we did.

Then, we had to address one of the pivotal tasks of setting up any business - meeting with an accountant. Not much to report on this task. Khai most definitely absorbed more from that meeting than I did - he is the brains of the operation, after all.

Next, a combined business/personal task - car shopping. This is where our 'complimentary' traits present themselves. I just care that it looks pretty and that I won't reverse over a small child, whereas Khai cares that it drives well, has fuel efficiency, etc. I fear that the decision may take weeks (or months).

And finally, the highlight of the week... our dog walking expedition to Monika's Doggie Rescue! We're such 'dog people' and we're so happy we finally got the chance to head up north to visit Monika's. We met the forever hungry Squirtle and the overly rambunctious Buttercup. We're hoping we can donate and/or volunteer on a regular basis.

I go back to 'real world' work next week. And I'm sincerely hoping that it doesn't detract from the awesomeness that will be The Kit Source. Khai and I are so excited to launch a pre-sale for some of our products next month. Follow us on Instagram to get a sneak peek at some goodies that could soon be yours!
